"Somewhere between a dear friend's beautiful home and the best-kept secret in New York City."
Built in the late 1800s and lovingly restored, La Maison Bleue sits quietly on a tree-lined hill in one of Staten Island's most beautiful historic districts. High ceilings. Period architectural details. Large, airy rooms that are warm in winter and cool in summer — because being on top of a hill surrounded by old-growth trees has its advantages.
This is not a guesthouse in the ordinary sense. It is a home — and you are invited to live in it fully. Cook in the kitchen, sit in the garden, sway in the hammock. Minimum stay is 30 days. For shorter stays, reach out to Chantal — she is always happy to discuss. Arrive whenever you like.
Six distinct spaces across three floors. Each one unique, curated and entirely yours.

In New York City, outdoor space is a luxury. At La Maison Bleue, it is simply part of the house. The garden, the deck, the hammock — all waiting for you.
Most visitors pay handsomely for a "Statue of Liberty cruise." Our guests simply walk to the end of the street, step onto the iconic orange ferry, and sail past Lady Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, and the Verrazzano Bridge — completely free, day or night.

And when you want sand between your toes...
South Beach, Staten Island — a real boardwalk, a real beach, in New York City.
Chantal is French-American and a proud New Yorker. She'll probably be the best part of your stay — whether that's a restaurant tucked away in a neighbourhood no guidebook mentions, a conversation about literature over morning coffee, or simply knowing that someone who genuinely loves this city is looking out for you.
She speaks French, English, and fluent New Yorker. She has explored every corner of this extraordinary city and cannot wait to share it. Ask her anything.
"I love travelling and I love New York. Having guests from around the world means a little of both — every single day."
— Chantal"Chantal is the kind of host you hope for but rarely find. Her knowledge of New York is extraordinary — she pointed us to places we never would have discovered on our own. An unforgettable stay."
"Spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and so convenient. We felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. La Maison Bleue is everything a guesthouse should be — and everything you actually want."
"Chantal, c'est de la famille. Depuis notre premier séjour, on a une nouvelle tante à New York. On reviendra, c'est certain — on ne pourrait pas imaginer visiter la ville autrement."

The house sits in a quiet, beautiful historic district — but quiet doesn't mean isolated. Daily life and adventure are both within easy walking distance.
